Hi All,
I’ve been using this serum for over 3 years and have tried it many different ways. This is my favorite beauty trick for getting the best results.
Since I have very dry skin, I need to use a facial moisturizer and a moisturizing foundation. I also use sunscreen around my eyes, so I make sure to let everything set for a few minutes before applying the serum.
Then I’ll apply a tiny bit of the Illuminating Eye Cream. It has a nice pearly sheen, so it helps hide the dark or purple color I sometimes have under my eyes.
After the eye cream has had a chance to absorb for a few minutes, I wet my index fingertip with a little water and put a tiny drop of serum on top.
The little bit of water helps thin the serum out slightly. This makes it easier for me to apply evenly, and I no longer get that whitish film.
Make sure you smooth the serum very lightly across the puffy or wrinkled area. You don’t want to rub off the products underneath. I just lightly smooth my finger back and forth until the serum looks absorbed.
I know that sounds like a lot of steps, but it really only takes a few minutes.
My biggest tip is to try a slightly damp fingertip if you’re having trouble with a whitish film, and make sure your moisturizer, sunscreen, and other creamy products have had time to absorb before applying the tightening serum.
Hope this helps y’all!

Is the Eye Tuck an anti aging skincare treatment for the eyes?
by Marie
(Canada)
Is the Eye Tuck an anti-aging skincare treatment or just a temporary solution? I mean, is it going to help my eyes look better in the future, or am I just putting a band-aid on the problem?
I tried Wonderlift years ago, and it was so drying and tight that I think it even made my eye area look worse after a few days.
I couldn’t wait to come home and wash it off!
It looked good and tight at first, but as soon as I smiled, it sort of cracked and puckered and felt really tight.
I was self-conscious the whole day, but I was afraid to wash it off at work because I didn’t have any makeup or concealer with me and didn’t know how bad my eyes would look bare.
Anyway, I realized there was nothing in that product that was going to improve my skin over time.
Thanks,
Marie

Marie, your question is still a good one because most instant eye-tightening serums are mainly used for a temporary cosmetic effect. They can make puffiness, fine lines, or crepey-looking skin appear smoother for several hours, but that doesn’t mean they are actually treating the underlying skin long term.
If your goal is an immediate tightening effect, these products can be useful. If your goal is to improve the look of the skin over time, I would think of that as a separate part of your routine.

Does the Easy Eye Solution Instant Eye Tuck work for hooded eyes?
by Rosie
Hi Ladies,
Does anyone know if the Instant Eye Tuck serum can be used on the upper eyelid skin to help with hooded eyes? I really have a problem with upper eyelid sagging.
I read about this serum on several skin care forums and understand that it can help tighten loose skin under the eyes.
But what about the upper eyelid skin?
It’s pretty frustrating for me because there aren’t many products that seem to help firm the upper eyelid.
Thanks,
Rosie
Editor’s update: Easy Eye Solutions Instant Eye Tuck is no longer available.
Hi Rosie,
The Instant Eye Tuck serum was designed for the under-eye area, not the upper eyelids. I would not use an under-eye tightening serum on the upper lid unless the manufacturer specifically says it is safe for that area.
The skin on the eyelids is thin and sensitive, so I also would not recommend DIY remedies such as egg whites there.
If hooded or droopy upper lids are your main concern, makeup placement can make a noticeable difference in how open the eyes look. And if the sagging is significant or affects vision, that is something to discuss with an eye doctor or qualified medical professional.
Hope that helps!

Linda
Puffiness Under Eyes
I bought the Easy Eye Solution Instant Eye Tuck to help reduce puffiness under my eyes. But I keep reading different ways to apply it. What do you think works best?
Editor’s update: Easy Eye Solutions Instant Eye Tuck is no longer available. I’m leaving my application tips here because the same general issues — layering, using too much product, and white residue — can come up with other temporary eye-tightening serums too.
Hi!
Thanks for your question about puffiness under the eyes.
When I used this serum, I found it worked best for me when I applied it last. Here’s what I did:
1. Apply your other products first.
I washed my face, then applied eye moisturizer, concealer where needed, and sunscreen.
2. Let creamy products absorb.
I waited a few minutes so the moisturizer and sunscreen had time to settle, especially during the colder months when I used more moisturizer.
3. Apply a very small amount of tightening serum.
Once everything underneath had absorbed, I lightly smoothed a small amount across the puffy or crepey-looking under-eye area.
Other people preferred applying the tightening serum first and then putting makeup or concealer over it. I found that the best method really depended on the product and your skin, so it’s worth trying both ways.
My husband used another trick that worked well for him: he’d put a tiny amount of serum on a slightly damp fingertip before applying it. That helped thin the product a little and made it easier to smooth evenly.
I’ve also heard from women who liked applying tightening serums with a small makeup brush because they felt it gave them more control and helped them use less product.
One thing I noticed with the old Eye Tuck serum was that it could get thicker over time, especially if the cap wasn’t kept tightly closed. When that happened, a slightly damp fingertip made it easier to apply smoothly.
If you’re using one of today’s instant eye-tightening products, the same basic rule still applies: use a small amount, let creams underneath absorb first, and avoid piling on too much product at once.
See the instant eye-tightening products I’ve tested and how I use them.
These products can temporarily make puffiness and crepey-looking skin appear smoother, but they don’t permanently remove under-eye bags.
Hope this helps!
Best,
Linda
How I apply the Eye Tuck serum….
Editor’s update: Easy Eye Solutions Instant Eye Tuck is no longer available.
I used to apply the serum the way Zach demonstrated in the original video: a very small amount, lightly smoothed from the inner under-eye area toward the outer corner and temple.
What I liked about this particular serum was that I could use it after my eye moisturizer and sunscreen had absorbed. That mattered to me because my under-eye skin is very dry, and products that had to be applied to completely bare skin were harder for me to use comfortably.
Eye Tuck Serum and Flaking
by Maria
Hi,
I’ve used the Eye Tuck Serum for 5 days now and have had great results. But the last few times I used it, I noticed some white flaking in the outer corners of my eyes.
What did I do wrong?
Editor’s update: Easy Eye Solutions Instant Eye Tuck is no longer available. I’m leaving this troubleshooting tip here because white residue and flaking can still happen with similar temporary eye-tightening serums.
Hi there,
In my experience, white flaking usually happened when I used too much serum.
I found it worked better to start with a very small amount. If I still needed more after it dried, I could add a tiny bit more rather than putting on too much at once.
If I noticed white residue after it dried, I would lightly dampen a fingertip and gently tap the area. That often helped soften the residue without disturbing everything underneath.
If you use eye moisturizer or another cream first, make sure it has had time to absorb before applying the tightening serum. Too much creamy product underneath can sometimes make flaking or residue more noticeable.
I also noticed that hot or humid weather could make application trickier, especially if I had used a heavier eye cream.
So my main tips are:
- use less product than you think you need
- let moisturizer and sunscreen absorb first
- add more only if needed
- use a slightly damp fingertip to gently tap away residue
Hope this helps!
Best,
Linda
Lines under the eyes
by JJ
(St. Simons Island, Ga.)
How can I make the lines under my eyes less visible? I’ve tried so many products and nothing really makes a difference.
I’ve tried everything from inexpensive drugstore products like Sudden Change Under Eye Serum to more expensive eye creams like Strivectin SD.
Nothing! I know I can’t get rid of them completely, but is there any tip or makeup trick to help hide those lines a little bit? I’m very self-conscious about them.
Thanks,
JJ
P.S. I’m almost 50 years old, but I started seeing lines and wrinkles in my early 40s. I just never thought they would get so noticeable so quickly.
Editor’s update: Easy Eye Solutions Instant Eye Tuck, which I originally mentioned in this answer, is no longer available. I’ve updated my reply but kept the parts of my experience that are still useful.
Hi JJ,
I hear you. I’ve dealt with little crinkly lines under my eyes for years too, and I’ve tried a lot of products.
The Strivectin eye cream felt soothing and moisturizing on my skin, but for me it didn’t do much to make the lines look less noticeable. In fact, very rich or shiny creams sometimes made the texture stand out more.
I also tried Sudden Change Under Eye Serum. It gave a tightening effect, but on my dry under-eye skin it could look too tight and sometimes left a whitish film. When I smiled, I also noticed cracking and flaking.
That experience taught me that with instant eye-tightening products, application matters almost as much as the product itself.
For me, the best approach is to keep the under-eye area comfortably hydrated, let moisturizer absorb well, and then use only a very small amount of tightening product if I want a temporary smoothing effect.
Too much product can make fine lines look worse once it dries, especially if your under-eye skin is already dry or crepey.
If you’re interested in temporary eye-tightening products, I’ve tested several that are still available:
See the instant eye tighteners I’ve tested
And if crepey texture is more of the problem than puffiness, I also have a separate page about that here:
What helps crepey skin under the eyes
For me, the goal isn’t to completely erase every line. It’s to keep the area from looking overly dry and use products that soften the look of the lines instead of making them more obvious.
Hope this helps!
Best,
Linda
